A LITTLE HELP GETTING STARTED

Upload orders from your iPhone.

Have a court order or PDF in Google Drive? This guide takes you from finding the file to reviewing its reading in Clearline.

Seeing “Content Unavailable”? Go straight to the workaround.

START IN YOUR CONVERSATION

Choose your document.

  1. 01

    Open Orders and filters

Log in to Clearline and open your conversation. Go to Orders and filters, then choose the option to add orders. If you already have orders, it may say Add another order.

The parent who set up the conversation adds the orders. If that is the other parent, the page explains who can add them.

  2. 02

Tap Upload, then Choose a file

In the iPhone file picker, tap Browse. If you are inside a folder, use the back arrow to reach Locations.

  3. 03

    Find your PDF

Choose Drive under Locations, then tap your document. A file already saved on your phone can be selected from On My iPhone instead.

Clearline accepts PDF, JPG, PNG or plain text files up to 25 MB. The PDF reader reads the first 100 pages.

WHEN DRIVE WILL NOT OPEN

“Content Unavailable”? Save a copy to your phone.

If this appears while browsing Drive, the iPhone file picker has not supplied a file to Clearline yet. The error alone does not tell us why. You can try this other route.

  1. 01

    Open Google Drive directly

Close the file picker and open the Google Drive app. Sign in there if asked, and find your PDF.

  2. 02

    Save the PDF to Files

Tap the three dots (⋯) beside the file, then Open in → Save to Files. Choose a folder under On My iPhone and tap Save.

  3. 03

    Select that copy in Clearline

Return to Clearline and tap Choose a file → Browse → On My iPhone. Open the folder you chose and tap the saved PDF.

IF DRIVE IS MISSING

Show Google Drive in Files.

First install and set up the Google Drive app. Then open the iPhone Files app and go to Browse → Locations.

Tap More (⋯) → Edit, turn on Drive, then tap Done. Return to Clearline and try choosing the file again.

AFTER THE UPLOAD

Review before you confirm.

Open Check the whole document. Compare the page count, expand the extracted page text and check every numbered order against the original, including its subclauses and exceptions.

The number of orders and the number of suggested message checks can be different. Every numbered order you confirm is kept for reference. Only the selected message checks affect screening; Clearline cannot automatically check every obligation or arrangement.

A page with missing or limited text is flagged. An incomplete reading cannot be confirmed. Scans, handwriting and text inside images may need a text-searchable copy or the full text pasted in. Files over 100 pages must be split before the full reading can be confirmed. Ask your lawyer about anything unclear.

If the file still cannot be read, the Paste tab lets you add the order’s text and tap Read it. That reading needs the same review.

Adding a document does not change an order or give permission for contact. Read how Clearline uses your orders.
